We will enhance and support the Irish dance class program within the Dance Department at BYU and provide performance and service opportunities to those interested in Irish dance. Our clubs focus on service will drive us to perform our very best and the members will enhance one another's lives as well as the lives they touch outside the club as they participate in BYU's mission to Enter to Learn. Notre Dame/St. Mary’s Irish Dance Club

Notre Dame/St. Mary’s Irish Dance Club

all 1 Notre Dame/St. Mary’s Irish Dance Club Our team is composed of about 40 students from the University of Notre Dame and Saint Mary's College. We perform at events all around campus such as Football Friday pep rallies, basketball games, alumni events and of course St. Patrick's Day! Additionally, we also host an annual Irish Dance Showcase each January. As the premier collegiate Irish Dance team in the United States, our team has participated in several national and international collegiate Irish dance competitions. We have had the honor of being the eight-time club ceili champions at the All Irelands Championships, and two years ago we took first place in the collegiate bracket at the Mid-American Oireachtas, an annual regional competition. Most recently, our team took a trip to Purdue University to compete through the Collegiate Irish Dance Association. We love representing the Notre Dame family in all our competitions and performances, and we are excited to announce our participation in the annual Notre Dame Day. College Dance

Each member has a diverse dance background but being a part of this club allows them to come together to Irish dance and do what they are passionate about. University of Wisconsin - Madison - Slainte Irish Dancers

all 1 University of Wisconsin - Madison - Slainte Irish Dancers Slainte Irish Dancers is a student organization dedicated to creating opportunities for college Irish dancers to continue their love of competing, performing, and practicing while at UW-Madison. We are College Irish Dance Association (CIDA) National Champions in the video competition category and have won the College Ceili Championship at the Mid-American Oireachtas. We work to ensure all collegiate dancers are able to continue competing at the highest level, regardless of competitive history.  Previous dance experience with a registered CLRG school is recommended but not required, and we do not host tryouts. The crew competes at intercollegiate competitions, preforms in corporate and television gigs, and has been seen at the music and arts festival Electric Picnic. Villanova Irish Dance

Villanova Irish Dance

all 1 Villanova Irish Dance The Irish Dance Team is an entirely student run organization which originated in the Spring of 2006. It was formed by a small group of dedicated dancers who wished to share their long-standing love for Irish dance, music, and culture with the Villanova community, and has continued to grow.   We can be seen doing performances year-round at all corners of the Villanova campus and in the local area around Villanova, including performances at Men’s and Women’s Basketball Games, Special Olympics, Accepted Candidate’s Day, and Parent’s Weekend to name a few.  Villanova hosts an Intercollegiate Irish Dance Festival for other college teams to come and compete, dancing the traditional four and eight hands, the treble reel, and the finale being a fun number choreographed with costumes to any song.   The Irish Dance Team also organizes an annual St. Patrick’s Day Showcase as a way of celebrating our culture and performing a variety of dance numbers to all who wish to attend.  Go Cats! all 1 Ohio State University The Ohio State Irish Dance Team has been growing larger every year. Everyone is welcome. We do not require auditions. Experience is preferred, but not needed!​ We perform in multiple events throughout the school year as well as Intercollegiate Irish Dance Competitions including Nationals!  For performances, women wear black long-sleeve leotards and black tights. The skirts are shared and will be provided. Hair is typically worn half up, half down so no wigs are necessary. Men wear black pants, black dress shirt, and a red tie. Hard shoes and soft shoes are not a necessity for practice, but will be needed for performances.  College Dance

all 1 University of Vermont Celtic Cats We are the University of Vermont's first, only, and best Irish dancing club! Ever seen Riverdance? Perhaps, Lord of the Dance? Ever wanted to give it a try? If that's the case, the Celtic Cats might be for you. We provide an opportunity for members with no experience to learn as well as a place for old pros to keep dancing. Lots of performance opportunitites, a fun and rewarding experience, and confidence-building are our top priorities for our members.In our short history since inception in 2009, we already boast costumes and original choreography by many talented members of our team. We perform at events including UVM basketball games, the Orchesis dance shows, the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf, St. Patrick's day gigs in downtown Burlington, and our own Céilí.NO EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
