THE DEADLINE IS COMING UP for our TEAM ISSUE for those competing at a NATIONAL or WORLD level - open to all dance organisations! Does your team have what it takes to shine on the cover of Irish Dancing Magazine? Last year, we featured 20 amazing teams inside the magazine and highlighted one extraordinary team on the cover. This year, it could be YOUR team in the spotligh in our MAY ISSUE - NOMINATE YOUR TEAM NOW!

What We’re Looking For:
We want to hear your team’s story! Share your unique journey, achievements, challenges, and what makes your team special. Whether you’ve bonded through competitions, overcome obstacles, or inspired your community through your love of dance, we want to celebrate YOU.

Submission Details:

Deadline: February 28, 2025

WHO CAN SUBMIT A NOMINATION? Dancers, Parents, Dance teachers.  MULTIPLE nominations from one school are allowed. MULTIPLE nominations for one team are allowed.

Eligibility:

  Competition level: Your team must be competing at either the National or World level in 2025.

• Open to 4-hand, 8-hand Ceili teams, Figure teams, and Dance Dramas.
• All dance organizations are welcome again this year!
• Previously featured teams may enter again this year!

Other Entry Requirements:

• Multiple entries: More than one team from the same dance school may enter.
• Multiple entries:  Teams may receive multiple entries, so all team members, dance teachers, and parents can enter a team OR you can receive one or two nominations. 
• Team Longevity Requirement – UPDATE as of February 17, 2024
  We have updated our contest rules regarding team longevity. Due to changes in age groups, team sizes, and the numerous questions we’ve received on this topic, we have decided to lift the team longevity requirement. Teams are no longer required to have 75% of their current members on teams together for two years. We hope this update provides more flexibility and clarity for all participants. Thank you for your continued enthusiasm and participation in the contest!

Last year’s Team Special featured inspiring teams like the Kidd School of Irish Dance from the UK, whose Ceili team’s story of resilience and friendship captured hearts worldwide​. Inside the pages of IDM, teams from schools such as Scoil Rince Móna Ní Rodaigh (Ireland), Trinity (USA) Lavin Cassidy (USA), Sharon Taylor (Scotland) along with many more teams who shared their hard work and love of team dancing with our readers.
