OFFICIAL WORLD QUALIFIER – The Southern Region Oireachtas, taking place December 4–6, 2026, is the primary qualifying event for dancers in the Southern Region seeking to compete at the 2027 World Irish Dancing Championships.
The Southern Region encompasses Alabama, Arkansas, the District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Mexico, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The Hilton Anatole is a massive 45-acre urban resort located in the Design District of Dallas, Texas.
This competition is also a qualifier for the 2027 North American Irish Dancing Championships (NAIDC) which takes place in July 2027..
