McDonnell Mortalo Academy

The McDonnell Mortalo Academy of Irish Dance, formerly known as the AMD Academy, is a successful Irish Dance school based in Dublin 5, Ireland. Founded and directed by Ann-Marie McDonnell, TCRG, and Sean Mortalo, TCRG, the academy welcomes dancers of all abilities, from young beginners taking their first Irish Dance classes through experienced Championship competitors.

The McDonnell Mortalo Academy provides dancers with high-quality Irish Dance training in an encouraging environment where students can develop their technique, confidence, performance skills, and love of Irish Dance. Whether a dancer wants to enjoy Irish Dance recreationally or pursue competitive goals, Ann-Marie and Sean work with students as they progress through every stage of their dancing journey.

Beginner classes are available for children from approximately four years of age, with classes held in Coolock, Dublin 5, including at Chanel College. More advanced dancers have the opportunity to train and compete at Championship level.

The academy is affiliated with An Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha (CLRG), and both Ann-Marie McDonnell and Sean Mortalo are certified TCRG Irish Dance teachers.
