Black Rose Academy of Irish Dance

Black Rose Academy of Irish Dance offers Irish Dance classes for dancers ages 4 and up in Springfield and the Greater Springfield, Massachusetts area, welcoming everyone from complete beginners through championship-level competitors.

The academy is directed by Bridget Barcomb Dupuis, TCRG, who brings more than 30 years of Irish Dance experience to her students. Bridget began Irish Dancing at age five and enjoyed an extensive competitive and performance career, competing locally and internationally before completing her TCRG examination in Ireland.

Black Rose provides a welcoming and inclusive environment where dancers can experience Irish culture, develop a love of Irish Dance and progress at their own pace. Classes combine traditional Irish Dance training with an emphasis on balance, coordination, teamwork, perseverance, confidence and a strong work ethic.

Students can enjoy Irish Dance recreationally or pursue the competitive path, with Black Rose dancers competing at local, regional and major championship events, including the North American Irish Dance Championships. The academy also has a strong performance program, giving dancers opportunities to share Irish Dance and culture at festivals, parades and community events throughout Western Massachusetts.

Black Rose is deeply involved in the region's Irish community and is a co-sponsor of the annual Lúnasa Feis in West Springfield, which attracts hundreds of Irish Dancers from across New England and beyond.

Black Rose Academy of Irish Dance is a CLRG-registered school and is affiliated with IDTANA and the New England Region.
