The popular dance teacher and adjudicator, Gary Healy ADCRG, age 47, passed away suddenly on the July 17th due to rare complications from pneumonia which led to septic shock.
Healy was known for his talent, passion, and dedication to the art of Irish Dance. In addition to his major dance career, Healy was a very successful attorney with the firm, McMahon, Martine & Gallagher, LLP in Brooklyn New York. A generous man, he was known for helping those with legal issues and providing sound advice to those in need.
He began his love affair with Irish Dance at the age ten with the McCarron School in Birmingham, winning his first major title at the age of fifteen. He later moved to Scotland and danced with the Taylor School until retiring from competitive dancing after winning the Senior Men’s World title. He then joined the legendary Riverdance show as an original cast member on Broadway.
