IDM debuted its first issue, Vol 1, Issue 1, Jan/Feb 1998 and thus began a 20-year love of all things Irish Dance. The Issue sold for £2.20 and had 32 total pages.

20 years later, we now have freelance correspondents all over the world with thousands of loyal readers from every continent on the globe.  We are 20 years strong and proud to be the voice of Irish Dancing – WE ARE IDM!

OPERATION SHAMROCKOperation Shamrock

Operation Shamrock is an IDTANA (Irish Dance Teacher's Association of North America) outreach program that operates when a natural disaster or emergency affects the Irish dance community. Its creation was a response to the devastation of Hurricane Sandy on the eastern United States Irish dance community in 2012. Throughout North America, there was a strong desire to support Irish dance teachers, their studios and their dance families affected by this natural disaster. Through the sales of Operation Shamrock pins and other charity events, assistance was given to those dealing with Hurricane Sandy’s aftermath.
