14-year old Irish Dancer Talks at Prestigious TED Conference

Over 300 people were in attendance to hear 8 inspirational speakers at the TEDxABQ Women’s conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico last December. There was only one speaker under 18 years of age, Garnet Waldrop.

TED, a nonprofit known for its informational short potent talks presented by powerful speakers, began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged. TED Conferences are now held globally and, with many videos of the powerful talks available online, the audience influenced by their messages is growing every day.

Garnet's journey to the TED conference began at a young age. Watch her performance below then read more about this amazing project in the April-May issue of IDM. (IDM subscribers can read online - login and visit the SUBSCRIBER page.)
