Question jobs?

I really want a job to earn a bit of cash. I have a few questions tho. I live in the Republic of Ireland. I'm 15.

What age do I have to be to work?
What kind of jobs can I do on evenings and mostly weekends?
Does anyone know the hours im aloud to work?
Anything else I need to know.

Reply soon PLEASE

Tara

You have to be 16 years old to work and be payed in the Republic of Ireland.Under 18s can work up to 8 hours a day and a maximum of 40 hours a week. Some examples of jobs are:Working in a bar ( but you can't sell alchol),
Working in a shop
Baby sitting,
Working in a garden centre
Helping out in a nursing home
Helping out you dancing teacher.
Hope this helps

Ok, well if it isn't quite legal to work, I see you as having two options.

#1 Do things that aren't considered constant work.

Like babysitting, yard work, general chores, grocery shopping for older folks/recovering people from hospitals.... Think a bit outside the box.

#2 You could also volunteer at a bunch of places. I know that won't get you extra money right away, but it's going to help when you do turn 16. volunteering will allow you to get some work experience and could help you bag a bigger better job by the time you are 16. So maybe delay the money a bit, and hope when you're a bit older, it'll all pay off.

Good luck!

What about making things to sell? Are you good with your hands, or can you cook/bake? There is a definite move all over the world back to good quality, homemade products that have that extra bit of care put into them.

you could volunteer at a place that also hires people. for example, im volunteering at the zoo. when i turn 16 im gonna try to get a jub there. ive been told that its easier to get a job there if you volunteer there before you apply.
